This Seahorse Whittler is a part of the Blue Bone Family. There's a reason we call some friends "true blue". That is because we know we can always count on them, no matter what. The same can be said about our Blue Bone knives. Time and again, their stainless steel blades get the job done, and their classic blue handles look even better the longer you carry them. The Seahorse Whittler features three blades; Wharncliffe, Pen, and Coping blades. The Wharncliffe blade makes for an excellent general purpose utility knife. From handymen requiring a quick and easy go to tool on the job to office staff opening up boxes, the Wharncliffe blade is the blade of choice. This blade is great for cutting and has a finer edge/point for increased control. The pen blade is great for small detailed uses, especially for everyday use such as opening envelops and boxes. The coping blade is similar to a Sheepsfoot blade but with an angled point. It is used for making cuts in tight areas or curved cuts. This blade is popular with carpenters and electricians as it is similar to a coping saw but without the teeth and can be used to scratch lines in wood or other material.
This knife is fitted with high carbon steel blades known for their high tensile strength, wear resistance, and toughness. Many prefer this steel for its edge retention and ease of re-sharpening. Since these are not stainless steel blades, a thin coat of oil applied on them after each use can help maintain their original finish. Comes conveniently packaged in a box. Made in Bradford, PA, USA from domestic and imported materials.
