The Robert Klaas family started this brand back in 1834 in Solingen, Germany. Known for superior craftsmanship, Kissing Crane has been a favorite for almost 200 years. Klaas produced several brands under their family such as Kissing Crane, Crane Brand, and Love Birds. The company has changed ownership since the original factory days and Klaas knives have been made in several countries with different owners having them outsourced in Germany, Italy, and even China.
